Cowards
This street micro sculpture addresses the problem of river management in the city. The Czechówka River in Lublin flows through the city center and is the most transformed river in the city. And at the same time, more and more green parts of the valley are still being occupied for parking lots. Nature is being pushed out of the city, more areas are being sealed, the landscape is being destroyed. It is amazing that with today's state of knowledge about the functioning of the environment and society, we still manage to act so short-sightedly. And it's not about a specific species or animal populations. It's about the city's vision. Or the lack thereof.
In river valleys, the most beautiful parts are those that man has temporarily forgotten, or has not yet managed to screw up.
Tchórze
Ta mikro rzeźba uliczna odnosi się do problemu zagospodarowania rzek w mieście. Rzeka Czechówka w Lublinie płynie przez centrum miasta i jest najbardziej przekształconą rzeką w mieście. A jednocześnie wciąż kolejne zielone fragmenty doliny zajmowane są pod parkingi. Przyroda wypierana jest z miasta, kolejne tereny są uszczelniane, niszczony jest krajobraz. Niesamowite jest to, że przy dzisiejszym stanie wiedzy na temat funkcjonowania środowiska i społeczeństwa wciąż potrafimy działać tak krótkowzrocznie. I nie chodzi tu o konkretny gatunek, czy populacje. Chodzi o wizję miasta. Lub jej brak.
W dolinach rzek najpiękniejsze są te fragmenty, o których człowiek chwilowo zapomniał, lub jeszcze nie zdążył ich spieprzyć.
